In this role, you will ensure our major donors feel recognised, informed, and motivated to support us again.

Fundraising at the University of Sheffield helps to find cures for deadly diseases, fund world-changing research, and provide opportunities for students from all backgrounds to experience university by removing financial barriers. As a department, Campaigns and Alumni Relations (CAR) is at an exciting point in its journey as the University scales up its ambitions to secure further philanthropic support in both volunteer time and donations through a university-wide fundraising and supporter engagement Campaign.

As the University’s Stewardship Officer, you will implement effective and efficient administrative support for stewardship activities undertaken within the CAR team. You will be responsible for liaising with key stakeholders across the University and within CAR to ensure that stewardship activities are carried out successfully and in an appropriate, timely and gracious manner. As the first point of call for any queries regarding stewardship, you will be expected to provide a high level of customer service and be responsible for providing help and support when needed.

You must have skills in a variety of areas and be creative in your approach to the stewardship of donors. Your excellent writing skills, attention to detail, and warm and engaging personality, along with a passion for supporting fundraising activities, will continue to help the University to secure further philanthropic income and build on the positive long-term relationship with our supporters.
