Senior SRE Developer - ensure the reliable and efficient operation of large-scale software systems

Join our growing Site Reliability Engineering team
The main objective of the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) department is to ensure the reliable and efficient functioning of extensive software systems and services. By combining principles from software engineering and operations, SRE bridges the gap between development and operations teams, focusing on reliability, scalability and performance.
What can you expect to be working on?
You will join an international team with colleagues located in both Aarhus and Bucharest, and our goal is to have a total of eight people to ensure a well-structured on-call rotation. Your primary responsibility is the management of cloud software systems on platforms such as Azure, AWS and on-premises Rancher. To this end, we utilise various tools and technologies, including Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana, Ansible, Jaeger, Istio, Kiali, ELK stack, Opensearch and Terraform.
You can therefore expect to work with the following:
- Ensuring the reliability of systems and services
- Developing and maintaining automation tools, frameworks and systems to streamline operational tasks
- Analysing system usage patterns, forecasting future needs and planning capacity accordingly
- Designing scalable architectures and implementing effective scaling strategies
- Identifying performance bottlenecks and working to optimise system performance
- Working closely with software development teams to promote reliability and operational excellence
Bring your competencies into play
Besides looking for a great new colleague who is a team player and motivated to work with critical and complex problem-solving, we are also seeking someone who:
- has a background in software development and experience at working with cloud-native-related tasks
- preferably has some knowledge of and/or expertise in working with SRE principles
- has experience with – or a strong interest in – learning technologies such as Kubernetes, Grafana, Prometheus, Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins and TeamCity
- is fluent in English, both orally and in writing
