Job Summary
We are looking for a Test Engineer who will widen his/her technical knowledge about verification & validation process, with a deep focus on our equipment development. In this role you will be an individual contributor who will take physical test executing responsibility on the equipment in the test hall as well as customer site, from evaluation of designs and choice of test methodology, through planning and execution to analysis and reports.
As a Test engineer you create(invent) new solutions, implement them, and see the result of your job. You are a key figure during the field test at customer site. Learning new technologies, getting the hands-on experience, and being recognized and rewarded for the achievement of good results is an essential part of the job where the work life balance is valued. The position will be office based in Gotemba Japan but requires traveling to customer site 20-30% yearly to do kit installation and support work.
What you will do
Be responsible for a part of our local kit development activity/project in technical aspects, decided by the team.
Conducting test making sure that they are error-free and in line with the test specification.
Equipment as technical reference: configuration, troubleshooting and test environment.
Reporting and presenting deviations and results.
Contribute to the product development providing solutions and technical information to Functional Competencies.
We believe you have
A technical education in Mechatronic, Mechanical, Electronics or Automation or similar.
Up to 3-4 years of testing experience in Automatic Machine with mechatronic content, preferably in the area of packaging.
Familiar with several testing techniques and tools in order to be able to implement and understand results (physical testing capability).
Have assembling and disassembling of component and sub-system.
Have electrical competence in reading electrical schema and cabling.
Have pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge in reading pneumatic and hydraulic circuits and cabling.
Fluent Japanese, Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is required.
Background and passion to work in a culture driven by innovation, sustainability, growth, and performance.
Administrative, organized, systematic and consistent.
Good communication skills. Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Able to multitask work even in stressful situations. Willingness to travel both domestic & oversea.
Advantages if you have:
Automation skills and knowledge on different platform (ie: Rockwell, Beckhoff )
Technical writing competence in order to create technical project documentation conveying information clearly and accurately.
Knowledge of World Class Engineering and statistical tool such as Six Sigma.
Knowledge of 3D drawing tool (like Creo or similar)
